VIDEO: Watch Kotoko Players’ PRICELESS Reaction After Ghana Hero Danlad Ibrahim’s Penalty Save Against Cameroon
Danlad Ibrahim was the Black Satellites hero when he saved a crucial penalty against Cameroon in the quarter-final game of the CAF U20 African Cup of Nations.
Ghana have advanced to the final four at the expense of Cameroon after beating the latter 2-4 on penalties at Stade Olympique in Mauritania.
The game was forced to extra time after a goalless drawn game in the regulation time. Kevin-Prince Milla on the 103rd-minute shot the Cameroonians into the lead before Frank Boateng equalized for Ghana a minute later.
No more goals followed, leaving Ghana’s fate to be decided by penalties.
Percious Boah, Barnie, Anokye and Assinki converted their penalties whilst Cameroon missed two, one of them was Kevin-Prince Milla’s kick which was easily stopped by Danlad Ibrahim which sealed a famous win for the Satellites.
However, after his save, his Asante Kotoko teammates in their dressing room after their rained-off game against Bechem United could not hide their excitements for the young goalkeeper who has been under criticisms after his howler against the Gambia last Monday.
