Asante Kotoko playmaker Mudasiru Salifu has returned to light training as he steps up his recovery from a serious knee injury.
Mudasiru, 23, suffered a metatarsal injury a week to the start of the 2020/2021 football season that required surgery and was set to keep him out for around six weeks.
However, he is only doing physical work now at the Adako Jachie training complex and will join group training when he gets his form back.
It was feared the midfield enforcer might to be out of action until next year at the very least, but the club will now be hoping he could be available sooner.
