Asante Kotoko made three signings in the just-ended transfer window with the most talked about business being Brazilian attacker Michael Vinicius Silva who joined as a free agent.
It has most certainly left a sour taste in the mouths of opposition fans as they watch the Porcupines make moves in the just-ended transfer window. In fact, it has left tears in the eyes of most Kotoko fans taking a front-row seat in the club’s transfer show.
On Wednesday, the Porcupines completed arguably the most important signing to Johnson Smith, in possibly one of the most pressing areas in attack. Brazilian striker Michael Vinicius Silva joined the club on a two and a half year deal and is expected to fill the gap left by Kwame Opoku who joins USM Algers.
However, his countryman, Fabio Gama has sent a big welcome message to the player and
highlighted what the 27-year-old brings on board and why his signing will lift the club in an interview with the club’s official media.
Gama is surely loving the transfer news. I guess as long as it’s not a player taking your position, you are always happy to welcome top talents, especially if they are international teammates.
They are expected to come up with sterling performances against any team when given the platform. Both are expected to operate as a complete force with the surreal ball control and agility of Gama and the clinical finishes of Vinicius to help bag the league as the second round is soon to commence.
