Majority of the 12-member Board of Directors of Asante Kotoko according to reports have pledged to assist the incoming Chief Executive Officer financially.
The Board since its formation have been in the market searching for a new CEO after the dissolution of the George Amoako-led management team.
Nana Yaw Amponsah’s name has been on the lips of many in recent weeks to take the mantle. However recent reports from Manhyia indicate that he has been ruled out for the job. Circling reports in Ghana in the past days also claim that, former Ashantigold CEO Frederick Acheampong, who works for Kessben FM and TV, has been heavily tipped by the Kotoko Board to head the managerial direction of the Porcupines.
However, Information reaching Wontumi from a trusted source is that nine out of twelve of the newly formed Asante Kotoko Board members have expressed their readiness to give a financial push to the incoming Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with an undisclosed amount as seed money.
The amount is said to be used for the day-to-day administration of the fabulous club.
