The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) have revealed the latest coronavirus test results ahead of the 2019/20 CAF Champions League final.
Two of the biggest Egyptian clubs Al Ahly and Zamalek will meet in the highly anticipated final at the Cairo International Stadium on Friday.
The two giants of African football have both sides suffered huge blows ahead of the match.
The EFA have announced that Al Ahly trio of Walid Soliman and Aliou Dieng and Saleh Gomaa will miss the game after testing positive for the coronavirus.
While Zamalek will also be without Abdallah Gomaa, Mahmoud Hamdy El-Wensh and Youssef Obama, who have also tested positive for COVID-19.
The EFA released the following statement on Thursday night.
“The results of the medical survey of Al-Ahly and Zamalek,” a statement read.
“The results were as follows: Zamalek: All swabs were negative, except for three players: Abdallah Gomaa, Mahmoud Hamdy El-Wensh and Youssef Obama.”
“Al Ahly: All swabs were negative, except for 3 players, namely Walid Soliman, Aliou Dieng and Saleh Gomaa.”
The Champions League final will kick-off at 19:00 GMT.
