Players of Asante Kotoko are being asked by the new coach Prosper Nartey Ogum to show the world why they should wear the famous red jersey of the club.
The former WAFA coach was announced as the new technical head of the Porcupine Warriors yesterday following the mutual termination of the contract of the previous coach Mariano Baretto.
Two assistants David Ocloo and James Eduful were announced today by Kotoko and the technical team is almost complete for work to begin as Kotoko regroup today. But in a pull no punches meeting with the players of Kotoko before they moved to the Adako Jachie training grounds, the coach charged the players to take this opportunity to prove why Kotoko should keep them and will demand the very best from the players.
Ghanasportspage.com is picking pieces of information from the corridors of Kotoko that the coach insists the honeymoon is over and that seriousness should be attached to the pre season of the club as he will not hesitate to show the door to players who fail to adhere to his rules and that of the club.
The newly shaped technical team of the club met yesterday and the meeting this afternoon will be the first time with the players before the actual training starts. The new coach insists he will like to make Kotoko the best club around before leaving thus in no mood to make the opportunity slip away.
He has told management to complete the negotiations for few more players to join the club after Richmond Lamptey and Maxwell Agyemang were acquired last week.
