Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah has made a bold statement about what his management intends to fashion out for the forward match of the club.
Nana Yaw Amponsah led the Porcupine Warriors to sign a mouthwatering sponsorship deal worth 1 million Ghana cedis (over $160,000) with the National Lottery Authority [NLA] on Monday at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Kumasi.
The NLA partnership includes series of sponsorship deals Nana Amponsah has secured for the Porcupine Warriors in a number of days.
The record Ghana Premier League holders [24 titles] earlier in the week bagged a 1.3 million Ghana cedis sponsorship package over two years with betting firm, Betika to boost their bank account.
Nana Yaw Amponsah made the bold claims of lifting Asante Kotoko to the highest football pedestal during the signing of the partnership deal in the Ashanti region.
“I would like to take this opportunity to once again thank the NLA, thank the support base of Asante Kotoko, the board of directors, his Royal Majesty for the opportunity to serve this noble club and also the opportunity to serve Asanteman.
“It is our desire that we continue to work tirelessly, myself and my able management to bring glory to Asante Kotoko.
“To take Asante Kotoko to where we belong.
“When I was first unveiled as the CEO of Asante Kotoko, I stated that there are many things that others have done for Kotoko in the past, Champions League trophies, there are other who have won it. League trophies, others have won it.
“But we are here to do things that have never happened before; that is to put the pieces together and lay a solid foundation so that tomorrow whichever management that comes after us will have a good footing to build upon and that is what we will continue to do.
“So we call on the support of the media especially to continue to continue to work hand-in-hand with us, to support us so that we can deliver for the people of Asanteman.” Nana Yaw Amponsah said.
Renowned personalities who graced the occasion included, NLA boss Samuel Awuku, who is a well-known Asante Kotoko fan.
Legends of the two time CAF Champions League winners were not missing at the event as Coach Kwasi Appiah, Daniel Asare, George Kennedy, Opoku Nti, Abdul Razak and Papa Arko were present.
NLA becomes the thirteenth sponsorship deal sealed under the Nana Yaw Amponsah led management since his appointment in September last year.
The NLA according reports in the media will announce a similar deal with Kotoko’s sworn rivals Hearts of Oak in the coming days.
