Mbella, Amankona On Target As Asante Kotoko Destroy Kenpong Football Academy In Friendly

Asante Kotoko on Wednesday afternoon defeated Kenpong Football Academy 5-0 in a low profile friendly.

The Winneba-based Academy who are on a three-week tour in Kumasi engaged the Porcupines in a friendly encounter at the Atonsu AstroTurf.

The match forms part of preparations for Coach Prosper Narteh to sharpen his troops ahead of their Ghana Premier League matchday five clash against Karela United on Sunday at the CAM Park.

Prosper Narteh handed minutes to some fringe players in the first half before introducing the first team players in the second half.

Evans Adomako netted the game’s first goal before Stephen Amankona added the second to ensure the Reds end the first half with a 2-0 lead.

After recess, Dickson Afoakwa scored his first (unofficial) goal for Kotoko with Solomon Sarfo Taylor and Mbella Etouga adding the 5th.

The visitors kept pressing for consolation but the Porcupines proved too strong for them as the referee brought the game to an end.
