Massive Blow: These Asante Kotoko Players To Miss Karela United Game


Asante Kotoko duo Richmond Lamptey and Mudasiru Salifu to miss their trip to Karela United on matchday five of the ongoing Ghana premier league.

Richmond Lamptey suffered an injury and was replaced by Cameroonian import George Mfegue before halftime against Eleven Wonders.

Meanwhile, Mudasiru Salifu will miss the Karela clash after accumulating his third yellow card in the 2-0 win over Wonders at the Baba Yara sports stadium.

Both players have been vital for Kotoko’s bright start to the season after winning all four games ahead of their trip to the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park on Sunday.

Mudasiru Salifu and Richmond Lamptey have combined three-goal contributions, with the former scoring and assisting one apiece. The former Inter Allies midfielder also has one goal to his credit.

Asante Kotoko currently sits at the top of the league table with 12 points and would like to continue the winning run against Karela United.
