Asante Kotoko new boss Mariano Barreto wasted no time and got stuck straight into his first training session as the Porcupines manager this morning at Adako Jachie.
The highly-respected Portuguese was announced as Maxwell Konadu’s successor on an 18-month deal with an option of a further year on Friday for a new era ahead of next weekend premier league clash against Eleven Wonders at Techiman.
Barreto’s first job will be deciding his playing formation after Kotoko dropped to third with just two defeats on the road in the first round.
He was soon pointing in earnest and dishing out instructions after meeting his new squad in practice at the Reds Adako Jachie training ground.
The Portuguese gaffer has a fairly well set of guiding principles that he likes to drill into his players, which could be a challenge as a mid-season appointment, but hopefully we’ll see some results on the pitch soon.
