Asante Kotoko legend Malik Jabir says he is ready to accept Technical Director role at the club if the new administration opens those offices.
With a new Board now in existence, the Porcupines are beginning a new era which will have a vibrant Youth Academy, and there are also talks in the media that we will employ a Technical Director.
After more than a decade of leaving the Reds, Malik Jabir believes a return to Kotoko is possible and is ready to manage them.
Currently, without a club, the former Asante Kotoko coach has expressed his readiness to work with Premier League giants Asante Kotoko.
“I’m ready to apply for the Technical Directorate job,” he told Kumasi-based Ashh FM.
“If I’m given the job I will make sure to promote four players from the youth team to the senior team every year,” he said.
Malik Jabir won the club their first-ever CAF Champions League trophy in 1970 and was the Team Manager when they won it again in 1983. He won several laurels with the team and later returned as a coach between 2005 to 2006 replacing Abdul Razak before a brief spell with Burkina Faso side ASFA Yennenga in 2007.
Meanwhile, Coach Bashir Hayford has also expressed his readiness to reunite with Kotoko as Technical Director.
