After about two years on the sidelines, Richard Senanu is set to make injury return for Asante Kotoko in the second round of the Ghana Premier League.
Reports reaching Myfabulousonline.com indicates that the crocked midfielder will complete his rehabilitation this month and will join his teammates for the last lap of the current GPL season.
The former Phar Rangers man suffered a knee injury in Kotoko’s Caf Confederations Cup game against Zesco United in February 2019.
Senanu has since not featured for the Porcupines but his recovery situation looks positive at the moment and is expected to return to full action next month.
Last month, deputy head of the Medical Team for Kotoko, Emmanuel Osei Owusu confirmed that the player’s recovery would take a month.
“Senanu is currently undergoing the second phase of recovery,”
“This part is divided into two, and the first includes the strengthening of his muscles. This should take him a month to complete.”
“The second part, which is about endurance drills, will follow immediately afterwards. That should also take a month to complete. Senanu will then be strong enough to join his teammates once his muscles have been strengthened and he has attained the required body strength and endurance level.”
