The excitement that comes with football doesn’t just end on the field of play, it also comes with the banters among opposing fans.

Hearts of Oak’s heavy defeat to Wydad Athletic Club of Morocco in the CAF Champions League in Casablanca yesterday night is a sour one to take for the Phobians and certainly not Kotoko fans.

The Phobians went into the game with a slight advantage having won the first leg 1-0 and were hoping to make the group stages of the prestigious CAF competition for the first time since 2006.

However, they were hammered by the Moroccan Champions, losing the game 6-1 and exiting the competition with a 6-2 aggregate scoreline.

The defeat means that Hearts of Oak will now drop to CAF Confederations Cup and will know their next opponents on Tuesday, October 26.
