Soon-to-be Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah yesterday in his meeting with the Board of Directors of the club in East Legon, Accra proposed a possible kit sponsorship with leading manufacturers, Adidas, Fitcom or Errea.
The Porcupines are currently being sponsored by Portuguese kit manufacturing company STRIKE since November 2018 in a deal which saw the Reds amassing GHc130,000 during the unveiling at Manhyia.
Rumours of the club ending their relationship with Strike was on the horizon with English kit manufacturers, Umbro tipped as their replacement. However, StrikeGhana, earlier this morning came to debunk the rumours, insisting that they have a running contract until 2022.
But, reports coming from Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM indicate that, Nana Yaw Amponsah in his presentation to the Board proposed three-fold kit sponsorship options as a replacement for Strike.
German kit giants, Adidas, Italian company Errea and Turkish kit manufacturing firm, Fitcom, who have signed a four-year deal with 62 Ghanaian clubs to provide kits for them through the works of Nana Yaw Amponsah.
