Tunisian giants Esperance have announced that Ghana international Kwame Bonsu will be sidelined for a number of weeks after undergoing surgery.
The club’s medical staff confirmed that Bonsu will be away from the action between four to six weeks before embarking on a rehabilitation process.
The former Asante Kotoko midfielder will be fit for the resumption of Tunisia’s Ligue 1 that is scheduled on August 2. Esperance currently leads the league table with 44 points, ten clear of second-placed CS Sfaxien.
The single-cap Bonsu has previously made appearances for Swedish sides Gefle IF and Mjällby AIF.
