One-time Hearts of Oak trialist Richard Agbalegah Zumah has expressed his desire to play for Maxwell Konadu’s Asante Kotoko.
Zumah was on trials at Hearts of Oak in 2018 but the Phobians failed to sign the lanky forward after his parent club Emmanuel City FC’s huge price tag on the lad.
Zumah once came off the bench to score a brace that gave Hearts a 3-2 victory over Dwarfs in the 2018 GHALCA G8 competition.
However, two years after his failed move to the Phobians, he has opted to play for the Porcupines as he is a big fan of coach Maxwell Konadu.
“As we speak now the team I want to play for Asante [Kotoko], my focus is on them”- Zuma told Atinka FM.
“I’ve always said, I can’t betray Hearts of Oak but I’ve realized that they don’t want to sign me, I offered myself to them in 2018 they didn’t mind me.
”I did same in 2019 when I returned from Iraq, I had series of meeting with Frederick Moore (managing director) and all that and even told them I need no money but they rejected me,” he added.
“So now I want to play for Kotoko, I know I will add something to the team.”
