German Bundesliga 2 side VFL Bochum have reportedly indicated that they want to sign Asante Kotoko centre-back Ismail Abdul Ganiyu in the summer transfer window.
According to reports picking from Ghanasoccernet, the German second-tier club scouted the highly-rated centre back when he played for Ghana in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifications.
Bochum who are leading the Bundesliga 2 table with 51 points after 26 games at the end of the season want to add further defensive options to their already impressive back four and have identified Ganiyu as the ideal man.
The 26-year-old who has made 15 appearances for Asante Kotoko this season with one MVP award made his Black Stars debut on Thursday, March 25 at the FNB Stadium against South Africa in the last but one African Cup of Nations qualifier where Ghana drew 1:1 with the Bafana Bafanas and also in the 3-1 win over Sao Tome in Accra last Sunday in Accra.
Ganiyu still has few months remaining on his contract with the Porcupines.
