Asante Kotoko right-back Augustine Sefah has disclosed why his teammates enjoy playing against their rival Hearts of Oak.
Sefah joined Kotoko in 2017 after ending his contract with regional rivals Ashantigold SC. He spent three months training with Hearts of Oak before his move to Kotoko.
The diminutive right-back reveals that he and his colleagues love playing against rivals Hearts of Oak. He has played in numerous games involving the two glamorous clubs in Ghana and shares his excitement playing against the Phobians in an interview with Myfabulousonline.com.
“The current Kotoko players love playing against Hearts of Oak, the atmosphere alone is something that should excite you. Winning against Hearts is special, whether you played or not when a fan sees you outside they sometimes dash you a gift”
Sefah also revealed how his move to Hearts of Oak failed after his contract expired with Asantigold.
“I went to train with Hearts for three months but because of some issues I couldn’t join them. I nearly signed with them but as I said, the issues I faced there prevented that move and I left to sign for Kotoko”
