Al Hilal have abrogated their contract with Cameroonian defender Salomon Charles Banga Bindjeme by mutual consent.
Salomon Banga has strongly been linked with a move to the Ghanaian giants, which the lanky centre-back could join them on a free transfer.
Asante Kotoko are hoping to complete the acquisition of the 27-year-old centre-back to bolster their defense for the second round of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season.
He joined Al Hilal from Difaa El Jadida in 2021 after impressing in the Moroccan league.
Al Hilal farmed him back to El Jadida in January 2023 but the loan has been cancelled and will be heading to the two-time CAF Champions League title holders to compete in the Ghana Premier League.
Salomon Banga featured for Cameroon during the 2020 CHAN tournament in Morocco.
Asante Kotoko have already signed former Hearts of Oak defender Mohammed Alhassan, Rashid Nortey and Brazilian international Matheus Medieros De Souza in this transfer window.
