Emmanuel Gyamfi has been a key player for Asante Kotoko since he joined the club in 2016 and his current deal expires ending of this month.
The Porcupines are keen to keep the former Wa All Stars (now Legon Cities) winger for the foreseeable future, and according to Fox FM, Kotoko have held initial talks with Gyamfi about a new short-term contract. The Reds have now offered the 26-year-old to sign a six-month deal with an option to extend it.
Gyamfi’s current deal at Kotoko expires on May 31, 2021, and the club would love to tie him down at least until the end of the season with improved terms due to his recent rise in form.
The deputy captain, according to the report is yet to accept or refuse the new deal.
Scoring his first goal this season in a 2-1 defeat to Medeama, the winger continued his season’s resurgence with a man-of-the-match performance in a 1-0 victory over Legon Cities last Saturday.
Gyamfi, 26, has won 5 major honors with the Kumasi-based club since his arrival in 2016 including the 2017 MTN FA Cup.
